If Austin Powers visited Lexington’s newest restaurant, Coba Cocina, he’d call it, “Dead sexy, baby!” ‘Cause it is. It’s not only a stunner, it may be the most gorgeous restaurant this side of Las Vegas. Or even L.A.

Created by the Greer Companies, a franchisee of 35 area Cheddar’s restaurants, Coba Cocina is worth the drive to Lexington to see: 400 seats, three stories, a masterpiece of restaurant architecture in which form and function flow magnificently, and what surely will be a successful Latin-inspired eatery (see more coverage on Insider Louisville).

Should U of L fans be looking for a place to eat this week during tourney time, it’s just 10 minutes away from Rupp Arena. Follow the link to this Insider Louisville story to learn more about it.

Want more restaurant suggestions, Cards fans? Our online editor Steve Coomes has done some research there recently and strongly recommends the fairly new gastropub, The Village Idiot, and the year old Table 310, which is right across the street on Short.

Great eateries. Dudley’s on Short, just down the street, remains classy as ever, and if you just want quick grub, grab a massive slice of pizza—or a whole pie—at Goodfellas, just a block away. All these restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk from Rupp Arena.
