Winter and comfort food are old pals, and Brasserie Provence, 150 N Hurstbourne Parkway, is offering a cozy five-course wine dinner featuring French regional comfort food and wine on Thursday, February 1st at 6:30 p.m. Our French home-style dinner will be prepared by Chef Patrick Gosden with wine pairings by advanced level sommelier Julie DeFriend from Vintner Select.  The dinner is $65 per person plus tax & gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 502-883-3153. (Wines will be available for purchase with a 15% discount through Westport Whiskey & Wine.)

Reception: Apéritif, Le Vin d’Orange, prepared by lead bartender Gretchen Fraze.

First course: French Onion Soup, paired with Domaine Rochette “Côte de Brouilly” Beaujolais 2015.

Second Course:  Bourride Provençale, Cod and Fennel steeped in an Aioli Broth, paired with Château Guiraud “G” Bordeaux 2015.

Third Course: Choucroute Alsacienne Maison – Sauerkraut, Knackwurst, Pork Belly, Potato, paired with Domaine Muré “Signature” Riesling Alsace 2015.

Fourth course: Boeuf Bourguignon, paired with Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot “L’O De La Vie” Minervois 2014.

Fifth Course:  Normandy Apple Tart, paired with Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise Rhône NV.
