Israel’s leading culinary journalist, author,  and television personality Gil Hovav is coming to Louisville for an Innovation series presented by the Jewish Community Center (The J). Hovav will be offering an Israeli cooking show titled “Our Sweetest War: A Hummus Demo” at Temple Shalom on October 13 at 7:30 p.m. Havdalah, cheese, wine and appetizers will be served. The J is hosting the fall innovation series to celebrate recent recognitions for both Israel and Louisville and to highlight regional and Israeli innovators and leading-edge programs and ideas in various categories. Israel was named the 10th most innovative economy in the world in the 2017 & 2018 Bloomberg Innovation Index. In 2016, Louisville was touted as a place of “free-wheeling innovation” and growth (TIME Magazine).
