Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom’s Explorer Series has exposed customers to a variety of unusual beer selections in the last year or so. The third iteration of this series involves the collaboration of Left Hand Brewery and Allegro Coffee Company, to create a coffee pale ale called De’Nileä Coffee Ale, which was brewed by the team at Old Chicago, along with Left Hand brewers, using Allegro Coffee’s Blue Nile Blend.

The deep, burnished-copper brew will be one of several beers made by Left Hand Brewery, including Milk Stout Nitroä,  Sawtooth Ale Nitroä, 400 Pound Monkey  (an English-style IPA) and Wake Up Dead Nitroä (a Russian imperial stout with notes of cocoa, dried fruit and licorice).

The series begins Wednesday, February 4 in both of Old Chicago’s Louisville locations, at 9010 Taylorsville Rd. and 10601 Fisher Park Dr.
