If your Christmas turkey has been absconded by the neighbors’ unruly dog….

Once upon a time, the local newspaper used to have a helpful little feature that listed dining events, including useful items such as a list of restaurants that were open on holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Now you need to go to the Web for such important info, to places such as Eater.com, which has that list of places serving on Christmas.  Traditionally, that has always been Chinese restaurants, filled with Jewish families.

Here in Louisville, the upscale choices seem to be hotel restaurants, or, for more economical eating Indian cuisine, with just one Chinese place listed, though it is likely that Chinese buffet restaurants in local strip malls will be open too.
