Louisville’s craft beer scene continues to grow, and that’s good news for craft beer fest fans in search of seasonal summer beers. The Jeffersontown Summer Craft Beer Fest is returning for its fourth year from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 7 to the Jeffersontown Pavilion venue at 10434 Watterson Trail. This year’s event will have double the space and more breweries, featuring more than 85 craft beers from national favorites like Terrapin Brewing and Leinenkugel’s as well as a whole corner of Kentucky only breweries and ciders, wines and local vendors. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the gate. (if not sold out). They can be purchased in advanced at Cox’s Smokers Outlet and Spirit Shoppes, The Chamber Jeffersontown or online.

Don’t let the heat deter you. There will be a shaded lounge outside as well as a lounge under city hall. Yelp will also be hosting a mister tent to help beat the heat.  If you want to fill your belly with food, too, there will be food trucks on site, including new food truck All Thai’d Up, The Blue Crab (Crab Cakes, Grilled Cheese & Acai Bowls), Moelicious BBQ, El Mambo (Cuban), and Fresh Out of the Box  (Asian). For your entertainment, there will be two music stages, showcasing Hot Brown Smack Down and Les LeMaster.

“We’re excited for the expansion of the festival footprint to bring a second music stage into the mix, the “lager lounge” that will be underneath city hall, plus more beer,” said co-organizer Tisha Gainey, who is also known for the Tailspin Ale Fest. “The Cox’s Kentucky Corner is expanding behind 3rd Turn Brewing, which will include not only their great brews, but sixteen breweries like Braxton Brewing and other brews brewed right here in the Bluegrass State. Also this year, Mac’s Dough House will be the official after party location! Between RecBar and Mac’s Dough’s, patrons will have great local places to get more food after the festival, plus they always have a great craft beer line up!”
