MilkWood and 610 Magnolia chef-owner Edward Lee will make his first national network TV appearance—in prime time, no less—on ABC’s The Taste, tonight at 8 p.m.

Lee past TV appearances include kicking star chef Jose Garce’s butt on Food Network’s Iron Chef, and a third-place finish on Top Chef.

This time, however, Lee won’t be a competitor. He’ll serve as a guest judge and mentor for contestants.

If you aren’t familiar with the show, here’s a description from The Taste’s website:

“In this exhilarating cooking competition series, The Taste puts 16 culinary competitors—who range from home cooks to professional chefs to everything in between—in the kitchen, where four of the world’s most notable masters of the food world judge their creations based on a blind taste. In this pressure-packed contest, a single spoonful can catapult a contender to the top or send them packing.”

Always good to see the Brooklyn native representing his adopted home city well in the national spotlight.
