In an effort to help the employees of the Federal Government who are not getting paid through the shutdown,  some local restaurants have decided to show support and appreciation for the dedicated men and women who keep our community safe and orderly. 

The release said, “We strongly believe that we are all family here in Kentucky.  Together, we strive to be better and to overcome adversities as a community.”

Each restaurant will offer a a different type of free meal to federal employees who must show their valid Federal ID. It is asked that the employees call ahead to let them know they are coming. 

In Louisville:

Ryan Rogers of HiCotton Hospitality is offering free meals at all of his restaurant locations on Thursday, January 17.

Edward Lee will be offering all unpaid federal employees with valid federal ID a free family meal from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, Jan 17 and also a free dinner on Monday, Jan 21
