Volare Italian Ristorante, 2300 Frankfort Ave., will tour Italy’s regional cuisines and wines during June, offering week-long menu specials paired with selected regional wines.
Tuscany will be celebrated June 2-8; Sicily June 9-15; the Piedmont region June 16-22 and Veneto June 23-29.The Tuscan dinner menu will begin with a panzanella salad, followed by tagliatelle with wild mushrooms, sage and butter. The main course will be roasted lamb shanks, and the dolce will be budino de riso, a traditional arborio rice pudding. You can see the full range of menus and wine pairings here.
