In 2020 when Shenanigans Irish Grille announced it would be closing after Thanksgiving, the sad news came with a caveat, as the owners vowed to “do everything in our power to bring the pub back.”
Happily, it appears they’ve done so, albeit on a limited weekend basis.
Dahlia Ghabour has the reopening story at the Louisville Courier Journal. According to Ghabour, Shenanigans has been the beneficiary of a GoFundMe “started by a loyal customer, (raising) more than $13,000 for the Louisville pub.”
Now, Shenanigans is trying again. This time, the neighborhood pub is open on weekends only, from noon to midnight, with a limited food menu.
“We all need some good news, so here’s yours,” a Facebook post on Jan. 8 read.
Due to limited quantities of food and staffing, Shenanigans is open for in-person dining only and is not allowing call-in or carryout orders.
