APRON Inc. COVID-19: Stunning Community & Corporate Response Enables APRON to Give Record Number of Grants
Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community and with corporate donations, APRON has helped 182 families breathe a little easier — in just two short weeks. This is just the beginning!
We have another 200 applications about to be approved (and more arriving everyday) as soon as we can fund them.
Corporate Support
The liquor industry has always been a big supporter of APRON and now is no exception. A huge thank you goes out to Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and their suppliers for a $30,000 donation — and to Republic National Distributing Company-Kentucky and their suppliers for a $20,500 donation. These donations will fund another 100 APRON grants.
Community Support
It’s true: you really find out who your friends are when times get hard. We thank each and every one of you who has written a check or donated through our website- your money goes directly to the restaurant employees.
Thank you so much to The Community Foundation of Louisville and the One Louisville Covid-19 Response Fund who awarded us a very generous grant of $25,000, which has already been distributed to 50 needy grantees.
And, a very special “Thank You” to our Anonymous Donor, who was so impressed with his $20,000 challenge grant being met so quickly that he has pledged another challenge grant of $20,000. So, if you have yet to donate to APRON Inc., please consider doing so now — your money will be doubled!
