Come see us at our new location in Nulu on the first floor of AC Hotels by Marriott Louisville Downtown on the corner of Shelby & Market Streets. ⁣We’re just doing curbside service for dinner from 4-9 right now as we get settled but most of our recent menu is still available. ⁣⁣Place your order at barvetti.com/online and help us warm this new house tonight.

Inspired by an ancient house in Pompeii, Ryan Rogers and his business partner, Chef Andrew McCabe, opened bar Vetti in late 2017, seeking a fusion of Kentucky-sourced ingredients with Italian methods. Food & Dining Magazine profiled the restaurant in our Summer 2018 print edition.

“The breadth of Roger’s and McCabe’s thoughts about creatively mingling influences became apparent when I met them at bar Vetti,” we wrote. “The conversation encompassed bovine anatomy, European social mores, environmental sustainability, the little-known origins of tipping in Reconstruction-era America, the counter-productivity of surface parking lots in dense urban settings, the hows and whys of whey, and architecture’s subliminal effect on the subconscious.”

Rogers summarized the ongoing culinary aim.

“If this is where we live, and these are the foods we’re getting in, what would I make? That’s how it is in Italy,. At bar Vetti, we do have pasta and pizza – very typical Italian things – but we use what’s available, what’s in season, what’s speaking to us, what makes sense being in our region, this being Louisville Kentucky. Then we make Italian food from that.”
