Your daily correspondent is a resident of New Albany, where Matt and Jessica Bergman’s rehabilitation of the Wilcox Block (133-135 E. Market St.) is the stuff of local legend. They bought the historic building in 2006, which at that juncture was a ramshackle eyesore, and by 2007 the street-level commercial space was ready for occupancy.*

A new tenant commences operations there today at 8:00 a.m. (until 5:00 p.m.): Cultivated Table & Sip House (also on Facebook). Internet information is scant, but Google has this description, which sounds official.

Cultivated Table and Sip House, nestled in New Albany, offers a delectable journey of freshly baked bread, pastries, and gourmet coffee to invigorate the taste buds. Whether seeking a scrumptious breakfast sandwich, a satisfying lunch, or a delectable afternoon pastry, this bakery is open seven days a week to satisfy all cravings. With curated retail shelves and an enticing bread selection coming soon, Cultivated Table and Sip House is the ultimate destination for discerning palates.

* Cultivated Table & Sip House will be the ninth occupant of the commercial space at 133 E. Market in New Albany since the initial renovation in 2006-2007. These names might strike a chord with our regular New Albany readers.
