Master Sommelier Scott Harper is hosting his first wine dinner at Cuvée Wine Table, 3598 Springhurst Blvd, tomorrow, Wednesday, June 28 at 7 p.m. The dinner launches a monthly wine education series at the restaurant.

The five-course dinner will feature a selection of six Italian wines hand-picked by Harper. The wines will be paired with a special menu created by Cuvée chefs Edoardo Bacci and Brandon Noe.

The Italian wine dinner menu will begin with a salumi plate with assorted olives served with a 2015 Fiorini “Becco Rosso” Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, from Emilia‑Romagna. The salad course will be panzanella, a salad of seasonal tomatoes and toasted croutons. The wine from Campania, 2015 Terredora Falanghina Irpinia.

The pasta course will be stuffed shells Sicilia, with a 2015 Tenuta delle Terre Nere Rosso Etna, followed by the main course, Parmesan-rosemary-crusted lamb chops with oven roasted tomatoes and roasted garlic. Two Piedmontese Barolos will be paired with this course, a 2011 Giacomo Grimaldi Barolo and a 2012 Damilano “Lecinquevigne” Barolo.

Dessert will be panna cotta with fresh assorted berries and coulis, served with a 2015 Michele Chiarlo “Nivole” Moscato d’Asti.
