It’s time again to break out your denim and ice for the 12th Annual Denim & Diamonds Gala on Friday, June 7th at Sawyer Hayes 2201 Lakeland Road, 4024. This annual dinner and fundraiser benefits the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana and offers plenty of fun from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for $200 each or $2,000 for a table of 10.

Last year’s event raised $85,000 and this year’s event in a country-chic atmosphere will feature the tunes of Kudmani and a unique silent auction plus live auction items. More fun includes a photo booth.. Dinner will be served from Louisville Chefs Ellen Gill McCarty, Jason Smith, and Anoosh Shariat. (See the menu below.) Revelers will also be able to wet their palates at the tasting tables set up by Ballotin Whiskey and Copper & Kings. The signature cocktail of the evening is Sweet Caroline, a debut cocktail with Ballotin Chocolate Whiskey.

The Parkinson Support Center is an independent grassroots non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing resources, educational programs, support networks and exercise classes to individuals and their families affected by Parkinson’s disease in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

“Proceeds from Denim & Diamonds ensures that our programs are offered Free of Charge to the community,” said Erika Branch, Executive Director.. “Our slogan ‘Live Well with Parkinson’s Disease’ reflects our mission to help individuals with Parkinson’s maintain their independence and stay active in their communities so that they may enjoy the highest possible quality of life.”

Salad: Mixed baby greens tossed in a blue cheese vinaigrette with candied pecans, split grapes, and country ham

Entrée: Stout braised beef short rib, served over potato puree with garlic butter glazed crimini mushrooms, English peas, and asparagus tips.

Vegetarian Option: (RSVP Required) Marinated and grilled portabella mushroom cap served over potato puree with garlic butter glazed crimini mushrooms, English peas, and asparagus tips.

Finale: (Desserts by Helen) Turtle cheesecake with chocolate ganache drizzle.
