The English Grill, 335 W. Broadway, in the Brown Hotel, will host a four-course dinner paired with Italian wines on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Chef de cuisine Andrew Welenken and sommelier Troy Ritchie have designed the meal to showcase wines from several areas of Italy.

The dinner will begin with a melon shooter with prosciutto and basil oil, served with Bisol Jeio Prosecco Brut. The first course will be buffalo mozzarella arancini with crudités salad paired with Terredora di Paolo Falanghina Irpinia.

The second course will be cioppino and polenta with Pecchenino Dogliani San Luigi Dolcetto. The pasta course will be pappardelle Bolognese with braised short ribs, served with Colpetrone Sagrantino di Montefalco. And dessert will be a raspberry bavarois paired with Araldica Brachetto d’Acqui Dolce Spumante.
