Everyday Kitchen and Clever Moose Café are two interrelated components of Lodgic Everyday Community in the building dubbed “Gateway to NuLu” at 552 E. Market.

Executive Chef Mike Wajda (VYE-da), formerly of Proof on Main at 21C Hotel, explains his culinary mission at Everyday Kitchen, which opened earlier this year.

“The sign on the door says modern comfort food. We want to highlight the ingredients without over manipulating them for the guests, so the farmer is truly shining, and also creating a sense of discovery for diners.”

You can read more in our forthcoming edition of Food & Dining Magazine (Fall 2021; Vol. 71), which includes a profile of Everyday Kitchen. Concurrently, Wajda’s farm-to-table philosophy will be displayed over the course of three evenings in September, which is Bourbon Heritage Month, with a four-course meal accompanied by bourbon “inspiration” from Angel’s Envy.
