We have been made aware of big changes underway for five of the seven existing locations of I Love Tacos, which are being rebranded as Tacos D’ Amor & More.

Two will remain as before, unchanged.

In summary, for most of us Ernesto Rivera has been the public “face” of I Love Tacos since inception.

However, Rivera had a business partner, and now the partners have parted ways, with Rivera retaining control of five existing I Love Tacos locations, including a fifth slated to open in Mid-May in NuLu.

Rivera is rebranding his five restaurants as Tacos D’ Amor & More.

  • 243 Blankenbaker Pkwy.
  • 3550 Springhurst Commons Dr.
  • 1534 Bardstown Rd.
  • 10200 Glenmary Farm Dr.
  • 828 E. Main St. (NuLu – opening in mid-May, 2025)

The other two shops will continue as I Love Tacos.

  • 400 S. Second St. (Omni Hotel)
  • 9909 Taylorsville Rd.

The changeover will be complete by the end of the week; any gift cards from I Love Tacos will be honored at the rebranded Tacos D’ Amor & More locations.

Enchiladas Barrio at Tacos D Amor & More.

Rivera has added more burritos and a half-dozen new entrees to the menu at Tacos D’ Amor & More, including Enchiladas Barrio (pictured), and also is tweaking recipes among his expansive selection of appetizers, tacos, tortas, empanadas, quesadillas, salad bowls, wings and tenders.

The Tacos D’ Amor & More website is here; Facebook here. Meanwhile, the website of I Love Tacos is still valid. Search engines are sifting through the changes, and it may be a few days before everything is clear.
