The popular Bardstown Rd. breakfast and brunch restaurant Highland Morning, which always seems to have a crowd outside and inside whenever I drive past, is planning to open a second location in St. Matthews. Later this summer, after some renovations to the space that most recently was a Tom + Chee outlet, Highland Morning will open at 111 St. Matthews Ave.
According to a story in Insider Louisville, Â the restaurant will retain its Highland Morning name, and the decor will be similar to that of the Bardstown Rd. location. The menu will also be similar, though a larger kitchen at the new location might serve for some menu exploration and expansion in the future.
