With perhaps one of the most unique events so far this year, The Yascone Family and Chef Michael James Crouch have teamed up to present a hip hop cookout on Sunday, June 30 from 2 p.m. to sundown at the Frankfort Avenue Coachhouse, 2000 Frankfort Ave. Tickets are $69 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

The event will feature DJ 7 Foot, spinning the best in hip hop, and the open bar will feature Hennessey, vodka, mixed drinks and select wines. Attendees are encouraged to dress in 80s through 90s fashion from the “West Coast, East Coast and Dirty South,” but they may come as they are.

Adding to the unique nature of the event, Chef Crouch will be serving fried chicken with a hot sauce fountain. Also on the menu: 6-cheese baked mac’n’cheese, jalapeño cider cole slaw, potato salad, smoked bacon & balsamic braised greens, and key-lime cheesecake ice cream.

If you prefer to pay cash for your tickets, you can stop by and check out the Frankfort Avenue Coachhouse today from 3 to 5 p.m. and meet host Love Yascone.
