Tuesday, March 21, Brasserie Provence, 150 North Hurstbourne Pkwy. will celebrate not March Madness, but the wines of Le Marche region of Italy with a special 5-course dinner. Wine distributor Vintner Select will provide Wine Expert David DuBou and  Advanced Level Sommelier Julie DeFriend to discuss their pairing choices during the dinner.

At the 6:30 p.m. reception, fried stuffed green olives will be served with Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2015. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. with a seafood stew in tomato sauce matched with Tenuta di Tavignano Lacrima di Morro d’Alba “Barbarossa” 2015. The pasta course will be fresh tagliatelle with calamari and mushrooms accompanied by Boccadigabbia Rosso Piceno 2013. For the entrée, pork rib-eye steak with chick peas, lentils and prosciutto ragoût  is paired with Tenuta di Tavignano Rosso Piceno “Cervidoni” 2013. The dinner will end with a truffle cow and sheep milk cheese, mâche salad walnut apple vinaigrette served with Fattoria Le Terrazze Rosso Conero 2013.

All wines served will be available for purchase with a 15% discount through Westport Whiskey & Wine.
