Just in time for March Madness in the Highlands, the completely remodeled BoomBozz Pizza · Watch Bar (1448 Bardstown Road) will host an invitation-only grand reopening event on Wednesday, March 4.

This remodeling and rebranding of BoomBozz represents a rethink, as revealed by founder and CEO Tony Palombino in a news release.

“We know how passionate Louisville and Southern Indiana are when it comes to sports,” said Palombino. “Our team took great care to provide everything guests need to watch and get in on the action. The location has been re-imagined in order to accommodate better sight lines as well as provide optimal views of the added large screen televisions.”

In short, being a sports bar is futile if patrons cannot watch sports, hence the “Watch Bar” appellation. Formerly it was referred to as a “taphouse,” but don’t worry; the beers are still there to accompany award-winning pizza and those ballgames.

The remodel and prototype includes all new décor and furniture featuring wood, metal, and brick textures and a refreshed BoomBozz logo, and they partnered with Huber Décor on the interior design. In addition to the décor, they added new audio/video enhancements including larger L.E.D. televisions to improve the game-watching experience just in time for March Madness®. The dedicated entrance for takeout was also enhanced.

The March 4 event kicks off with a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m., with festivities to follow at 6:00 p.m. The new BoomBozz slogan is “Crafted for You,” and accordingly there’ll be guests on hand to dispense samples of craft libations, including Uncle Nearest Whiskey, Goodwood Brewery, and Jesters Winery. New menu items also will be featured at the event: Cauliflower crust, Tater Kegs, and Green Chili Chicken Pizza.
