Bordeaux Wine Dinner at Varanese on Tuesday, August 20th

Varanese is hosting a six-course dinner paired with wines from Bordeaux, France, with guest speaker and guide Jean-Sebastien Calvet of Aquitaine Wines. The Wine Rack is helping sponsor this event. Louisville City FC’s new season is underway with Lunazul Tequila (a Heaven Hill-owned brand) returning as the team’s “Official Tequila,” celebrating the affiliation with a limited edition Lunazul Blanco bottle. It’s available at Liquor Barn while supplies last.

Food Literacy Project’s 10th Annual Field-to-Fork Dinner at the Regency on Thursday, August 22

Proceeds from the event will support the Food Literacy Project at Oxmoor Farm and its expansion to Iroquois Urban Farm in South Louisville. The dinner features signature cocktails, wine and beer, canapes, chilled soup, fish, meat and vegetarian courses and dessert.

Participating chefs include Chef Bruce Ucan -The Mayan Café; Chef Patrick Roney – Ashbourne Farms; Chef Trevor DeCuir – Morel’s Catering; Chef Ernest Pierre – Open Caribbean Kitchen; Chef Ming Pu  – 502 Bar & Bistro; Chef Michael Hargrove – River City Supper Club; and Mixologist Evi Fenton – Farm to Fork Catering.

Bourbons Bistro Bourbon + Cheese Experience on Wednesday, August 28 at 6:30 pm

Bourbons Bistro’s “Bourbon + Cheese Experience” is the third in a series of informative pairings. Bourbons Bistro owner Jason Brauner teams with Will “The Cheese Guy” Eaves from Lotsa Pasta to match five new bourbons with five cheeses. A cocktail reception begins at 6:30, followed by the pairings.
