If you have a restaurant on the banks of the Ohio, why not actually go down to the banks of the Ohio? The KingFish at Riverside Dr. in Jeffersonville, Ind. has opened On the Rocks ( very cool name, you have to admit), a lower-level open-air patio, seating about 120 with room for a stage for live entertainment. Add in a new burger menu, and you have a very cool new spot to watch the river roll by.

“Since it’s an outdoor venue, though, it couldn’t open until we go the right weather,” Greg Wortham, KingRish’s controller, said. In addition to KingFish’s traditional fish sandwich and oysters, the On The Rocks menu includes pomme frites and three gourmet burgers: the local goat burger, the slaw burger, and the white truffle garlic aioli burger. Or, customers can build their own burgers, with toppings such as shaved gruyere, Sriracha, bleu cheese and peppadew peppers.

On The Rocks will be a seasonal business and will open and close depending on the weather. Hours will be 5 to 11 p.m. during week and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
