The Spring 2023 issue of Food & Dining Magazine is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online.
Kabuki Hibachi & Ramen’s original location dates to 2020 in Winchester, Indiana, a town a few miles east of Muncie.
In June of 2021, a second Kabuki shop appeared in Jeffersonville at 2021 Mejier Drive (by the Mejier retail store), offering sushi and other Japanese culinary markers in addition to the top-billed hibachi and ramen. A third area Kabuki popped up at 5170 Charlestown Road in New Albany.
Now there’ll be a fourth, to be situated at 253 Spring Street in downtown Jeffersonville, and with a target date of April (pre-Thunder) for opening. The building is directly across the street from Red Yeti.
Louisville Business First’s Michael L. Jones spoke with owner Garry Nakawijaya.
“This location I’m going to make like an authentic Japanese restaurant. Everything’s like Japanese style, I’m going to use lot of wood and anime. A lot of people around here like anime, so I’m going to use a lot of anime for decoration.”
