Kyros Brewing Co. (2425 Portland Ave.) in Portland, which opened in July 2023, is for sale. The timeline is open-ended: “We will remain open while we search for the right buyer.”
The text of the post, which tells the whole story:
Kyros Brewing Company is for sale!
Kyros started almost four years ago as a dream between six friends: to create a community around good beer and better relationships that mimicked what we had on our back porch. In many ways that dream has been realized including ways we weren’t expecting. The best part of this journey has been creating a third space to facilitate new relationships and deepening old ones. We hold our community and experiences close to our hearts.
A lot has changed in last few years. We are now parents to two growing boys and Manooch and Jeana are moving to Spain as we speak. It’s time (no pun intended) for Kyros to make a change as Sarah and I have neither the capacity or desire to run this business without the friends we started it with. This decision has been labored over painfully as the Saeedi’s departure approached and our conclusion is bittersweet: We will miss serving you in our taproom, watching Kyros’ community flourish, and the long conversations in our beer garden. We will also miss the constant connection with those in the industry who have been overwhelmingly supportive and kind to us in our journey. However, we look forward to a new, quiet season where our boys and family can be our main focus.
We are hoping to find a buyer who will pick up the Kyros story and run with it or start their own story in our wonderful neighborhood. We will remain open while we search for the right buyer.
If you are interested or know someone who would be please give us a call at (202)670-5763 or stop by the brewery and see us. An owner will be present most Sundays.
Previously at F & D, noting the inception of Kyros a little over a year ago.
