Tuesday, July 25, 6:30 p.m., The English Grill at the Brown Hotel, 335 W. Broadway, will host a special dinner featuring the wines of California’s Lede Family Winery. Jason Lede will speak about his wine selections for the dinner, from the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, Anderson Valley and Sonoma Coast.

The dinner menu will feature four-courses from the Brown Hotel’s new chef de cuisine Dustin Willett. The first course will be Compressed watermelon and heirloom tomato with whipped local goat cheese and smoked sea salt, paired with Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc. A fish course of grilled Verlasso salmon with corn and fava bean succotash will be served with Fel    Chardonnay.

The third course will be crispy-skin duck breast with grilled peaches and pinot noir gastrique, paired with Fel Pinot Noir. The main course will be herb-marinated teres major steak with eggplant caponata, served with Cliff Lede Cabernet Sauvignon.
