Lou Lou Middletown‘s (12717 Shelbyville Road) First Annual Crawfish Boil takes place on Saturday, June 28 from 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m.

It’s an all-you-can-eat proposition for $30 per person, including corn, onions, garlic, mushrooms, andouille sausage & potatoes.

Here’s a preview courtesy of Jared Matthews, owner of Lou Lou Middletown.

“One of our favorite events of the year is bringing the rich Cajun tradition of a crawfish boil to Louisville.

“This year, we’re excited to share that tradition with our Middletown community for the first time. We’re flying in over 1,000 pounds of fresh Louisiana crawfish for a day filled with live music, beer*, and a classic boil.

“And don’t worry—if crawfish isn’t your thing, our full menu will also be available that day. Best of all, you’ll be eating for a great cause: a portion of the proceeds benefits Love City Inc., a nonprofit close to my heart that teaches neighbors to love their neighbors in the Portland community.”

  • Live music by Hot Sauce Brass Band
  • Indoor reservations available
  • Outdoor seating is first come – first served

* Beer reportedly will be offered at a proper serving temperature, i.e., “cold”
