Everyone’s gone to Louisville Burger Week; now we’re alone at last.

Okay, not exactly, but it feels like a slow news week in food and dining, seeing as Burger Week makes good on its aim to concentrate everyone’s attention, and more power to the organizers for doing so. Where I work, we’re slammed.

A quick glance at the calendar confirms that it’s July 21, not April 1, and consequently your attention is directed to Louisville Business First for this exclusive report by Haley Cawthon about a new craft seltzery coming to NuLu Marketplace.

Move aside breweries, there’s a new craft beverage coming to town.

Hard seltzers — think White Claw, High Noon and Truly — have quickly grown into a multi-billion dollar alcohol segment in recent years. But that’s mostly been in the form of packaged and distributed canned products — not through an in-person experience like you can get at a local brewery.

Enter The Local Seltzery.

The Local Seltzery, owned by brothers and Lexington, Kentucky-natives Braxton and Clay Turner, will be Louisville’s first craft “seltzery” opening this fall at NuLu Marketplace.
