If you want steak, it appears downtown Louisville is the place to be for quantity, quality and variety.
Between Z’s Oyster Bar & Steakhouse, Jack Ruby’s, Morton’s The Steakhouse and Eddie Merlot’s, the traditional meat and grill method are well covered.
However, two new Brazilian-themed steakhouses will join the fray over the coming months. That’s right, two, not just one.
According to Business First, Boi Na Braza steakhouse will occupy 8,500 square feet of the bottom floor of the former Hilliard Lyons Center before the Kentucky Derby next year.
And the Cordish Cos., the Baltimore-based developer of Fourth Street Live—you knew they’d be in on one—said it’s bringing Brazeiros Churrascaria to Fourth Street Live! where, most recently, Mozzaria and Quattro led short, tumultuous lives.
If you’re not familiar with a churrascaria, know it’s all meat, all the time. Sure, there are veggies on the menu, but the experience centers on skewers of roasted meat brought to your table by servers, who then slice the meat onto your plate. Kind of like a dressed up Viking dinner, one would suppose.
Both are established concepts with solid pedigrees and targeted squarely at convention-goers seeking a largely predictable dining experience.
