Louisville StrEatery, located at 304 West Woodlawn Ave., is Beechmont’s ongoing food hall project, as helmed by Dung Tran.

A second location of Tran’s Fresh Out of the Box eatery has been installed at StrEatery, which also serves as a retail outlet for Char’CUTE’rie Creations. Eventually there’ll be six food options, a full bar and space for community gatherings.

Tran’s newest tenant is Soul Hi Vegan, which opened “soft” earlier this week and will stage an official grand opening on June 18 to coincide with Juneteenth weekend.

We turn to our former colleague Michael L. Jones, who once again has the rest of the story at Louisville Business First.

New soul food restaurant coming to South End food hall in June

A ghost kitchen is a virtual restaurant that prepares meals for delivery or takeout. In the case of Soul Hi Vegan, patrons will be able to order their soul food-influenced vegan and vegetarian entrees through a food delivery service or eat in the food hall, which seats 100 people.

Owner Kamysha “Lotus” Blackwell started Soul Hi Vegan in 2020, and began doing pop-up events selling vegan comfort food. Blackwell said she is still working on her menu for the StrEatery, but prices will range from $12 to $18.
