Restaurants all around town and even out in the state will be offering special wine, beer and bourbon-focused dinners this month.  Here is the list we have so far; one of them is sure to  tweak your appetite.

610 Magnolia will prepare a special Korean BBQ Dinner, Saturday June 6 at 6:30 p.m., to be served in the Wine Studio across Magnolia St. from the restaurant.

The family-style dinner will include beef short rib kalbi, sweet and spicy pork ribs, kalbi chicken and the side dishes and condiments known as banchan.

Varanese, 2106 Frankfort Ave., will offer a beer dinner featuring the brews of FLAT12 Bierwerks of Indianaplois and Jeffersonville, Thursday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m.

The menu will include Benedictine salad with spicy greens and pancetta; tempura shrimp and twice-fried potatoes; pretzel-fried Texas pork loin served over smashed red skin potatoes with beer-braised cabbage and fennel; and cherry pie with hazelnut-marshmallow ice cream. Each course will be paired with an appropriate beer from the FLAT 12 beer list.

Brasserie Provence, 150 N. Hurstbourne Pkwy, will host a wine dinner Wednesday, June 17, at 7 p.m., with guest wine expert David DuBou from Vintner Select to discuss his choices of rosé wines to pair with the menu. Dishes will include reception appetizers of pissaldiere, tapenade crostinin and anchoiade; a first course of tomato and chevre salad; bourride (a Marsellais fish stew); tomatoes and zucchini stuffed with pork and lamb in a marinara sauce; and peach frangipane with strawberry coulis.

RIVUE Restaurant and Lounge, at the top of the Galt House, 140 N. Fourth St., will offer a 5-course wine dinner Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. Join us Executive Chef Dustin Willett will serve a salad of local greens, roasted golden beets, goat cheese and pecans; grilled wild salmon; rack of lamb and spicy lamb sausage with fingerling potatoes; crispy-skin duck breast with whipped sweet potatoes and brown butter Brussels sprouts. Guest Sommelier Antoinette Parise will choose the California wine pairings and talk about her choices. Cost will be $???.  Call  (502) 568-4239.


Holly Hill Inn, 426 North Winter St. Midway KY will partner with the Original Makers Club  for a summer farm to table dinner on the lawn of the restaurant. Craft cocktails will be provided by Woodford Reserve cocktails and the Leestown String Band will entertain.
