“Hip Hops” is off this week.
“Dutch Bros Coffee is a drive-through coffee chain headquartered in Grants Pass, Oregon, with company-owned and franchise locations throughout the United States.”
Reporting at WHAS11, Jay Skebba dishes on the impending arrival of another drive-through coffee option, with the first unit coming to Forest Hills later this summer.
Dutch Bros Coffee will soon open its first location in Louisville. Here’s where
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A restaurant specializing in drive-through coffee creations is coming soon to Louisville. Dutch Bros Coffee plans to open its first location in the city this summer at 9101 Taylorsville Rd. According to a news release, a typical visit will include “upbeat music, energetic broistas and outstanding speed, quality and service.”
And what, pray tell, is a “broista”? I somehow managed to slog through a lengthy Yahoo! Finance article to find the answer:
Dutch Bros, which has garnered a cult following for its funky drinks and high-energy staff, is capturing Wall Street’s imagination as Starbucks falters amid consumer resistance to high prices and poor execution…How the system works will depend on each location. Ordinarily, a few broistas, also dubbed line-busters, walk along the waiting cars, taking orders on their tablets and inputting vehicle descriptions (e.g., silver SUV). The cars will then pick up their orders at the shop’s window.
I’ll have a double espresso, please, and kindly hold the Iced Creamy Vanilla Protein Milk Latte, thank you. All those extras get in the way of the coffee, don’t you know.
