The LEE Initiative has announced its 2022 Women Culinary and Spirits Program schedule, with applications for the mentorship program opening on Thursday, February 24.

WOMEN CULINARY AND SPIRITS PROGRAM

The Women Culinary and Spirits Program creates a path to leadership for women in the food and beverage industry through mentorship, training, and continuing education opportunities. The goal of this program is to elevate more women into leadership positions within the industry with the mindset that doing so brings more equity and diversity to the industry. Each year, we select mentees to complete a six-month program which includes externships, seminars, and more. Mentees are experienced professionals in the early-to-mid stages of their food and beverage careers and are ready to take the next steps towards becoming industry leaders.

The Women Culinary & Spirits Program will include the following: an externship; FAB Summer Camp 2022; the Kentucky Experience; and fundraisers. Reporting at Louisville Business First, Michael L. Jones has more.

“We’re extremely proud of what we’ve been able to create,” (Chef Edward) Lee said. “We have grown from a local Kentucky chef program to a nationwide program that connects women chefs and mentors. It’s been amazing to follow the careers of the 26 mentees who have gone through the program, and we can’t wait for this year’s class to join The LEE Initiative family.”
