St. Matthews Summer Fest returns on Saturday, June 21, benefitting the St. Matthews Fire and Rescue Benevolence Fund. The admission-free event takes place from 12 Noon to 10:00 p.m. along Frankfort Avenue between Lexington Road and Bauer Avenue, as well as in the Gerstles parking lot.
Highlights include:
- St. Matthews Firefighters BBQ Competition, featuring both a people’s choice wing cookoff and a judge’s choice rib competition
- Kidz Zone, with games and competitions for prizes in front of the stage
- 50+ local vendors
- Live music begins at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday with performances by Boundary Country, This That and the Other, Throwback Thursdays and Mary Mary
- Food by Gerstles, Lou Lou Food & Drink and Fox Den Billiards Bites & Brews
- Gerstles will kick off the festival on Friday, June 20 with Mary Mary and more in its parking lot from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
