Our web site posts at Food & Dining Magazine are identified by broad category terms as a means of more efficient filing and searching. Somewhat poignantly, “calendar of events” has almost disappeared from usage.

Note: In at least one local media account of the NuLu Fest cancellation, it was stated that goat races are a feature of the celebration. Actually these contests feature in NuLu’s annual Bock Fest, which generally takes place in March (but not this year).

NULUFEST ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF STREET FESTIVAL ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th
LOUISVILLE, KY., July 2020 – In what would be the 12th year of the annual event, The NULU Business Association has officially cancelled NULUFEST 2020.
With consideration of the continuing spread of the Covid-19 virus and in an abundance of caution, the Association’s Board of Directors has decided to cancel this year’s festival, originally scheduled for September 26th.
The annual festival draws large crowds to the 600-900 blocks of East Market Street, making proper social distancing and safe practices nearly impossible.
Though disappointed with this year’s cancellation, we look forward to bringing NULUFEST back next year and we thank everyone for their past attendance.
Our NULU galleries, shops and restaurants are back open and we encourage you to visit them and continue to shop local and support our small businesses and the local economy.
The NULU Business Association is working hard on coming up with new ways to safely enjoy the neighborhood including sidewalk sales and expanded outdoor experiences.
