According to Anthony Lamas, owner and chef of Seviche, 1538 Bardstown Rd., the next dinner and a movie, Sunday, Sept .10 and Monday, Sept. 11, beginning at 6 p.m., will be the 25th in the series. This time the movie will be “Fever Pitch,” a baseball story, and the dinner menu will be ballpark fare, done with a bit of an upscale touch.

Lamas said that when he started, the movie choices were definitely food-focused (“Eat Drink Man Woman”; “Big Night”; “Like Water for Chocolate”), but now that he has worked his way through so many of those, now some of his choices are just fun movies that would give him a chance to have fun with the menu. That seems to be the case for this month’s event.

The dinner is served in the events room behind the main dining room, and always starts with a cocktail reception, the drink chosen to reflect some aspect of the movie.  The dinner will be served with wine pairings with each course. The menu for “Fever Pitch” is rather tongue-in-cheek: ball park nachos with queso and corn crisps, lobster melt, New England clam “chowdah” and Fenway franks.

Movie, cocktail reception, dinner and wine pairings will be $95. Call (502) 473-8560.
