The Bakery at Sullivan University reopens for the first time since the pandemic
Emily Kunkel, marketing manager for Sullivan University, said the university originally closed the bakery to take time to refocus it on the students. But the Covid-19 pandemic delayed Sullivan’s original reopening plans.
“Now that we’re post-pandemic, supply chains have pretty much evened out for the most part, and students are invested and back to the forefront of what we do,” Kunkel explained. “We’ve had so many students ask about interning at the bakery or just being involved that we figured it was time.”
The Bakery is operated by Chef Ann Currie, the general manager, and Chef Teeylah Webster, a Sullivan graduate, will serve as pastry chef. Kunkel said the bakery will be hiring a barista and bakery workers.
