LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The owner of Chef Shaq Kitchen, Shaquan McDonald, announced on his Facebook that he will be opening a second location right before Kentucky Derby 150. The second location will be located at 2300 West Market Street in the Russell neighborhood. It’s set to open May 1.
The original Chef Shaq Kitchen opened at 612 S. 5th St. in July, 2022.

We’re excited to announce our second location opening on May 1st, just before Derby weekend, at 2300 West Market Street. I’m grateful for the support from family and friends and hope to be talking about a third location this time next year. If not, that’s okay too. I’m happy and blessed to have made it this far.
