If you still need something fun to do a week from tonight, on New Year’s Eve, there are plenty of things going on around town. If a good meal as well as other fun is up your alley, here are a few of the restaurants that have contacted us about their Ne Year’s plans.
- Brasserie Provence, 150 N.Hurstbourne Pkwy. will serve two seatings, an early 3-course dinner from 5-7 p.m., and a 5-course dinner 8-10 p.m.
A 3-course dinner ($45) will offer choices of duck foie gras, lobster bisque, lyonnaise salad, warm tomato & goat cheese tart, or crawfish gnocchi for the appetizer; followed by entree choices of hanger steak, Scottish salmon, pork chop, or shrimp; and a choice of a cheese course, or opera cake, warm flourless chocolate cake, honey-almond cheesecake, or pistachio macaron for dessert.
The late-seating dinner ($75) will offer a choice of four courses plus a chocolate mignardise. Starter choices will be same as above. The entrée selection will include sea scallops with lemon sorrel beurre blanc, Chilean sea bass, beef tenderloin with wild mushroom cream sauce, or lamb T-bone chops with shallot confit reduction. The cheese & dessert selection is the same as the 3-course menu, with the addition of a chocolate mignardise finish.
Party favors will be provided for the second seating for Midnight Festivities.

- Bristol Bar & Grille-Jeffersonville, 700 West Riverside Dr. will offer a New Year’s Eve wine dinner wine and food travelogue from 8-11 p.m., for $180 per couple.
Master Sommelier Scott Harper and Chef Heather Brown have devised an international 5-course dinner menu paired with 6 wines from around the world. An optional night at the Sheraton Louisville Riverside Hotel will be available as well.
Menu will include charcuterie, empanadas and crostini at the reception, followed by a tarte a l’ognon, a third course of conchiglia alla fiorentino (pasta with spinach sauce), a lamb loin for the entree, and a Magyar Edes Trio (three Hungarian desserts) paired with a rich Hungarian Tokaj.

- Butchertown Grocery, 1076 E. Washington St., will offer “A Taste of Good Luck” New Year’s Eve meal highlighting food considered lucky around the world. Bobby Benjamin’s menu will offer Italian, American, Russian, Israeli, Hungarian and Portuguese dishes commonly served to celebrate the New Year and bring good fortune.
The “A Taste of Good Luck” menu will include such items as tagliatelle with quail egg and black truffles; shaved Brussels sprouts with black-eyed peas; wild gooseneck barnacles; pan-roasted halibut with parsnips, orange and fennel; short ribs with smoked apple slaw; Capriole Farms Pipers Pyramid goat cheese with pistachios and pomegranates and a Kentucky
Rotisserie torta with chocolate, bourbon-bacon caramel and caramel-sea salt ice cream.

- Louvino, 1606 Bardstown Rd., will offer a $70 menu that includes choices such as cast iron baked scallop or corn beef and cabbage rolls for appetizers; fingerling potato salad with mixed greens or spinach salad with goat cheese and beets; pork loin chop with black-eyed pea risotto or seared halibut and creamy grits with lobster butter; and champagne and raspberry sorbet float or double chocolate chunk stuffed beignets with vanilla anglaise for dessert.
