Situated in the historic airport terminal of Bowman Field, Le Relais offers a fine dining experience like no other in Louisville. Here you’ll find exquisite French cuisine, prepared with only the finest, freshest ingredients, combined with relaxed, first-class service and an intimate, 1940s art-deco interior reminiscent of the Café from the movie “Casablanca”. With a little imagination, you can see it exactly as Charles Lindbergh did when he landed the “Spirit of St. Louis” here in 1927.

Meet the new boss…who as it turns out is quite close to the old boss, as Michael L. Jones explains at Louisville Business First. Le Relais is located at 2817 Taylorsville Rd. where the planes are (and note that previous owner Anthony Dike will continue to oversee the wine program).

Bistro Le Relais sold to new owner after 36 years

A French bistro located at Louisville’s historic Bowman Field airport recently sold to a new owner. Amy Zinner, owner of Woodland Moss & Design, purchased Bistro Le Relais from founder Anthony Dike for an undisclosed sum in late September.

“I matched the offer that the other buyer made,” Zinner explained. “I made this decision a year ago in October to buy the restaurant, and we just signed the dotted line late last month. That’s how long it took. I needed to work with the airport authority to have a longer lease to make this a viable decision.”

… Zinner has implemented a few changes at Le Relais, adding a elevated French brunch experience on Sundays and lunch service on the last Friday of each month. She also plans to replace the restaurant’s bar.
