Chef John Varanese, of Varanese Restaurant, has been honored as one of the country’s top culinary talents in the premier edition of Best Chefs America.

This is the first-ever industry peer review of U.S. chefs chosen as a result of extensive interviews between fellow chefs and Best Chefs America analysts. Chef Varanese will be showcased in an informative and exquisitely produced, 386-page coffee table book that will be available for sale on March 1, 2013.

Best Chefs America is the premier annual chef’s guide to chefs.Nominated by fellow chefs, culinary professionals and food enthusiasts across the county, analysts placed more than 58,000 calls leading to over 5,100 interviews. Analysts used a series of proprietary questions and software to aggregate the data, producing a numerical score to identify veterans and up-and-coming talent. The results were compiled into a 386-page coffee table book, complete with chef listings broken down both geographically and alphabetically, which will be updated annually.
