Chef Maria Bell, whose peripatetic efforts to offer Greek food to the Louisville are have encompassed restaurants from Radcliffe to Butchertown to St. Matthews to Old Louisville, has now closed her most recent business effort, Chef Maria’s Bistro at 107 W. Oak St.
Citing high overhead and low patron traffic, Bell has closed her most recent restaurant, but has plans for the future. Her first foray will be into the preparation of home-cooked meals, a business she plans to call 7 Meals 7 Days. Customers will be able to order meals and pick them up or have them delivered. She also has hopes to open a new restaurant in the East End, where she says her customer base is most robust. Her new effort will offer burgers and gyros.
