The official notice came on August 13 that Drick’s Treats would immediately cease business operations at Norton Commons.

The social media notifications tell the story.

The meat of the text:

As this era comes to an end, as I reflect on the journey that began with a door to a building, leading me to discover the deeper depths of my life’s purpose. I am profoundly grateful to each and every one of you for the opportunity to share my passion and dreams with a touch of sweetness.

Effective immediately, we are officially closed for business. My heartfelt thanks to Norton Commons for welcoming me into their beautiful community. To those who traveled even from afar daily to dine with me, your love and hospitality have meant the world. I am forever grateful.

This isn’t goodbye; it’s see you later. I must close these doors to prepare for my next adventure. Each chapter of my bakery’s story just keeps getting sweeter, and for what comes next, I’ll need a dependable team by my side. If you know than you know serving is something I do with a passion!

Thank you for allowing me to serve you all. See y’all in my next.

On April 1, we noted the opening of Drick’s.
