It has been reported that Gralehaus, has opened in the house behind the Holy Grale’s beer garden, at 1001 Baxter Ave.
The cafe is the first step in further expanding the little empire from the team behind Holy Grale and Louisville Beer Store. At some point in the future, the owners plan to open a bed and breakfast in the rest of the house.
The Gralehouse’s menu, served from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. is eclectic, and flexible. Currently on the menu are biscuit and duck gravy; an open-face short rib sandwich; four crepes, including one with duck confit; pork and beans with house-made sausage; and sorghum and apple soft serve. Patrons will find a coffee bar, and house-made sodas, shrubs and kombucha. Three beers are on tap and many more in a large beer cooler, supplied by the Louisville Beer Store. There is also a deli case with house-made sausages and other item, selling until 8 p.m.
