MeeshMeesh Mediterranean to open in August at the former Wiltshire on Market space

Among other achievements in its brief history, Meesh Meesh has singlehandedly brought the word “Levantine” back to Louisville. Now the restaurant’s executive chef, Noam Bilitzer, is a semifinalist for the prestigious 2025 James Beard awards.

Louisville chef named James Beard Award semifinalist

Noam Bilitzer was nominated for the best chef in the southeast. He’s the executive chef of the NuLu restaurant Meesh Meesh, which offers family-style eastern Mediterranean and middle eastern food and drinks. Bilitzer is competition against chefs from 19 other restaurants from Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia and Tennessee.
