The end of the year approaches, and the restaurant landscape in Louisville continues to shift with openings and closings with a persisting trending and booming taco business. Here are recent changes to our food community.
Lydia House, 1101 Lydia St in Schnitzelburg, is closing with the closing of 2018. Their last day of business will be December 30 with a special New Years party in the works, according to a Facebook post by their general manager.
Buffalo Wild Wings in the Highlands closed suddenly Monday, leaving an open building in a prime location. WDRB reported that they are looking for a different location and employees have the option of transferring to another store.
Bandido Taqueria Mexicana is opening a second location next door to the Falls City Brewing Co. Taproom and Beer Garden, which sits at 901 E. Liberty St. with a partnership between the two venues. MexaSteak Tacos, currently at 3701 Lexington Rd, will be moving into the former credit union building downtown next door to 301 Bistro at the corner of Third and Market St., according to WHAS11.
Taco Luchador has reopened its Highlands location at 938 Baxter Ave, now expanded to include a new bar and seating for 120 people inside and out in contrast to its previous seating for 24. The heated courtyard is called the Taco Lounge.
