Sometimes people will ask me why I’ve stayed in Louisville all this time, having arrived as an unpolished buckeye back in 1999 with big dreams of writing for People magazine. Of course LEO Weekly was no People, but it’s where I found my voice and discovered my passion for Louisville’s nightlife. Back then, it was thriving. I’m not saying it’s not now, but it definitely had more pep in its step with endless experiences, opportunities, later hours and Naked Photo Hunt – but more on that later.
