Olé Hospitality Group, the founders of El Taco Luchador, Guaca Mole Cocina Mexicana and Mussel & Burger Bar, has opened their newest concept, Steak & Bourbon: An American Grill.  The new classic, casual American steakhouse replaces Artesano Vino Tapas Y Mas at 1321 Herr Ln. #130 in Westport Village. You can view their  full menu here. Photographer Dan Dry was at their opening in order to share a first look with our readers.

“Guests will find a locally-owned, premium steakhouse experience at an affordable price,” said Olé Hospitality Group co-founder, Chef Fernando Martinez.

The signature dish from executive chef Jason Smith is the 24 oz. cowboy cut ribeye of certified Angus aged a minimum of 30 days and the house-cut Tallow Fries.

A sampling of other items includes the center cut filet ($33 to $40), pan-roasted chicken ($24), grilled Verlasso salmon ($30), steak & cheese hand pies ($10), S&B Maryland-style crab cakes ($16),  chilled jumbo shrimp cocktail ($16), cheese curd burger ($16) and the crabmeat deviled eggs ($12).  Chef-recommended dessert items include the Crème brûlée ($10) and the carrot cake made with bourbon caramel and served with ice cream ($10).

Kentucky’s native spirit figures prominently in the cocktail menu, with top offerings like the S&B Old Fashioned ($10), made with Old Forester Signature, simple syrup, West Indian orange bitters and amarena Cherry. The House Punch ($11) is crafted with 1792, grapefruit juice, sweet vermouth. grenadine, lemon, and cherries.  The steakhouse curates a collection of over 60 bourbons, including a reserve list.

Steak & Bourbon will initially offer dinner seating Tues.−Sat. from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and has a private dining room for special events.

Olé Hospitality Group has more openings planned, including the fourth El Taco Luchador location in Colonial Gardens this summer and a fifth in Jeffersontown not long after.
