The annual restaurant industry promotion 502 Restaurant Week starts Wednesday, Feb. 24, and goes through Wednesday, March 9, making the week 14 days long, all the better to sample as many of the specially priced menus as you can.
Participating restaurants (click here for link to list) will offer 3-course dinner menus for either $50.20 per couple or per meal — depending on the restaurant. More than 30 restaurants are participating this year. A lunch version of the promotion is offered in September; both September and February are considered slow months, the perfect time to stimulate business with a customer-friendly promotion.
Here is a sample menu from Rye, priced at $50.20 per couple:

Winter citrus salad: shaved fennel, avocado, blood orange, grapefruit, chili-lime vinaigrette, hazelnut
Curry lentil soup: fried chickpea, cilantro oil,yogurt, coconut milk, garam masala

Wild mushroom maligatelle: king trumpet and beech mushrooms, rosemary, parmesan, lemon
Braised pork shoulder: chocolate mole, yucca chips, cilantro, coconut, rice
DESSERT (CHOICE OF ONE)
Fat Elvis: Caramelized banana, coconut crème anglaise, white chocolate, toasted granola
Salt of the Earth: chocolate cremeux, hazelnut, salted caramel, coffee rocks, nutmeg
